Product Description
What can the anchor be used for?
3.5 pound anchors are commonly used for kayaks, canoes, SUP paddle boards, jet skis, personal water crafts, floats, inflatables, rafts, dinghies and other small boats.
What materials is the anchor made from?
The silver anchor is made of galvanized iron. The colored anchors are made of carbon steel. The storage bag is made of waterproof 600D nylon, the carabiner clip and shackle are made of stainless steel and the rope is braided nylon
Will the anchor rust?
Our anchors are made of galvanized iron or carbon steel, which prevents rusting. However, to lessen the chances of corrosion, it's good to rinse salt from the anchor after each use and allow the anchor to fully dry before long periods of storage.
Why does the anchor include a shackle?
Some people prefer to add chain to the anchor. The shackle is the only way to do so. The shackle can be added to either end of the anchor, giving you more flexibility in how to use it.
What’s the purpose of the zip ties?
Most anchors come with the rope tied to the top. If your anchor gets trapped, there’s no way to free it. By tying the rope to the bottom and using a zip tie to attach the rope to the top, you can detach a trapped anchor and remove it upside down

Other than that, anchor is solid, lightweight enough for my paddleboard use, but heavy enough to hold me in place in a fairly windy day.
Let’s remember this is a 3.5 lb anchor.
Tried it out this last weekend and it did pretty good. I’ll try to update and show what the salt eats up after some use.
Pros:
Foldable and packs away nicely.
Light enough to not notice it in the back of a sit on top kayak.
Once pushed into the sand halfway it was more than capable to keep the kayak anchored even with a person+gear in it.
After an hour, it had not drifted more than 2 inches with moderate chop and current. Comes with plenty of rope as anchors normally do better the more rope you let out/less angle.
Cons:
Design is more like a grappling hook and not like a modern boat anchor meaning it’s not going to secure or bury itself into the sand the more you pull on it so you might have to step on it or push it into the sand. Seems like a fair trade off for being foldable and 3.5lbs.

El material es correcto
Bought this anchor to go with my kayaking gear (for fishing / relaxing on lakes) as it was reviewed well and had all the required extras pre-bundled with it.
Good:
- Shipped fast and item was as described.
- Complete bundle (anchor, rope, float and carabineer).
- High quality construction (galvanised iron anchor and marine grade rope) which should stand the test of time and seawater assuming good care (remember to wash gear with fresh water after use!).
- Nice little carry bag for it all which is a nice bonus.
- Makes a great impromptu mallet if you forget yours when camping…
Bad:
- Perhaps a little heavy compared to some other designs but this is a very VERY minor note – could be an issue if you were carrying a lot of gear.
Mixed:
- Length of rope may need to be longer for your specific usage.
