Roomy enough for the whole family, the Coleman Sundome 6 tent sleeps up to six people at a time in complete comfort. The two-room Sundome 6 is outfitted with Coleman's exclusive WeatherTec system, a series of technical features intended to protect you from inclement weather and nasty storms.
The tent's LED ceiling light includes high, low, and nightlight settings. WeatherTec tents are built with a coated polyester fabric combined with anti-wicking thread, webbing, and zippers, all designed to keep you dry when the rain comes down. The tent's welded waterproof floor and inverted floor seams, meanwhile, dramatically increase the water resistance by hiding the needle holes inside the tent and away from the elements. In fact, Coleman is so confident in its WeatherTec system that it exposes its WeatherTec tents to a rain room that simulates nasty downpours, and to a wind machine capable of blowing hurricane force gusts. The results? Even after the tests, Coleman guarantees its WeatherTec tents will keep you dry.
The Sundome 6's interior is notably spacious, with a base that measures 12 feet by 10 feet and a center height of 72 inches--plenty of headroom for most people. In addition, the tent is engineered to keep you cool thanks to the adjustable Variflo ventilation and vented Cool-Air port. Best of all for travel-weary campers, the Sundome 6 sets up quickly, with two shock-corded steel poles, continuous pole sleeves, a pin-and-ring design, and InstaClip attachments. The tent even comes with a built-in LED ceiling light that runs for up to 22 hours on eight D batteries (not included). The light includes three settings: high, low, and nightlight.
Other features include self-rolling windows with no-see-um mesh screens; two doors (one hinged and one zipper); an electrical access port; an interior gear pocket; separate bags for the tent, poles, and stakes; and easy-to-follow instructions sewn into the durable carrying bag.
The tent sleeps up to 6 people in its 120-square-foot footprint. Specifications

About Coleman
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

This is not a tent for cold weather and Coleman doesn’t claim that it is. Great small family tent. Just PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU ARE DOING and you won’t have any problems. Coleman customer service is top notch. Some people just like to complain. Buy it and enjoy it.
This tent has been through many heavy down pours without one drop of water leaking inside. It was up at one time for two months.
I covered all the seams with tent rain sealer when I got it.
Easy for one person to put up if you do it right.
I do not stake it down first. I put both poles in then start with the pole that is over the other one putting the ends in the rings on the tent, then the other pole. I don’t stake it down until it is completely set up so I can adjust it.
Putting back in the bag is easy if you fold it like it came. I took many photos of it while unfolding first time so I could easily fold it the same way. I also marked the folds on the tent bottom for quick reference.
It does sleep 6 but if you are planning on having 6 get a 10 man tent. This 6 person tent is perfect for my wife and I with a double high queen size Coleman inflatable bed with quilted top.
My husband and I were looking for a tent we could stand up in. One that we could step inside the door (not crawl into). A tent that could hold two large cots and lots of gear when we camp for a week but was light enough to carry in and out of camp (not light enough for backpacking, but under 20 lbs). We needed something that could withstand the heavy rains of southeast, gulf of Texas. We wanted a reasonable priced tent…my husband had his eye on a 6 person Eureka but they were about $600, plus all the custom add ons, I wanted a better deal. We were looking for our Goldilocks tent - just right!
Classified as a 6 person tent, this Coleman tent could sleep 7 sardine style. Large dome - I think 6 feet tall in the center. Easy to set up and take down. The two of us can do it in about 15 minutes including all the stakes and tie downs.
It was windy and rainy the first night we used it, and inside the tent stayed dry!
Overall this tent checks every box and then some. Plus that hinged door. Seriously genius. Our WeatherMaster had a hinged door. I love not having to unzip and zip and unzip and zip all the time. Door stays closed all the time - no bugs or creepy crawlies get in…but it’s like a house door, just open and close thanks to the great design!
Another win for Coleman. This is our go to tent for my husband and I when we go with our Boy Scout troop for the weekend or even for a full week. Not too big, but definitely big enough! Love it!
I have a high queen air mattress. Because of the steep angle of the walls, you must place the mattress 1 - 1 1/2 feet away from any wall...or it will leak. So the idea that you have this huge tent changes to it is really great for 2 adults with a queen bed and 2 dogs. We have plenty of room, but 2 queen beds would not be possible without getting wet. Also, the idea of 2 rooms... no way with a queen bed.
I was really disappointed to find the variflo adjustable ventilation feature was omitted from my tent. This feature would be welcome when it is really hot out... Coleman has discontinued this feature even though it is shown on their website and is in all the literature and descriptions/instructions for this model tent. I really feel that they should at least change the model# and mention it's absence.
I have decided the missing vent will not be a deal breaker and I will keep the tent, however, I think Coleman should correct their presentation.
