Roomy enough for the whole family, the Coleman Sundome 6 tent sleeps up to six people at a time in complete comfort. The two-room Sundome 6 is outfitted with Coleman's exclusive WeatherTec system, a series of technical features intended to protect you from inclement weather and nasty storms.

The tent's LED ceiling light includes high, low, and nightlight settings. WeatherTec tents are built with a coated polyester fabric combined with anti-wicking thread, webbing, and zippers, all designed to keep you dry when the rain comes down. The tent's welded waterproof floor and inverted floor seams, meanwhile, dramatically increase the water resistance by hiding the needle holes inside the tent and away from the elements. In fact, Coleman is so confident in its WeatherTec system that it exposes its WeatherTec tents to a rain room that simulates nasty downpours, and to a wind machine capable of blowing hurricane force gusts. The results? Even after the tests, Coleman guarantees its WeatherTec tents will keep you dry.

The Sundome 6's interior is notably spacious, with a base that measures 12 feet by 10 feet and a center height of 72 inches--plenty of headroom for most people. In addition, the tent is engineered to keep you cool thanks to the adjustable Variflo ventilation and vented Cool-Air port. Best of all for travel-weary campers, the Sundome 6 sets up quickly, with two shock-corded steel poles, continuous pole sleeves, a pin-and-ring design, and InstaClip attachments. The tent even comes with a built-in LED ceiling light that runs for up to 22 hours on eight D batteries (not included). The light includes three settings: high, low, and nightlight.

Other features include self-rolling windows with no-see-um mesh screens; two doors (one hinged and one zipper); an electrical access port; an interior gear pocket; separate bags for the tent, poles, and stakes; and easy-to-follow instructions sewn into the durable carrying bag.

The tent sleeps up to 6 people in its 120-square-foot footprint. Specifications

    About Coleman
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.

In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

Eureka- I have found it!

Eureka- I have found it!
This is the best tent I’ve ever owned. I put it up with my husband for the first time in the pitch black dark and we didn’t argue. That’s miraculous. It’s really just 2 poles for the tent without the rainfly. The front & back doors have a skinny pole to hold out the rainfly on each side. These poles prop against the tent. The swinging door has 2 skinny poles. What I’m trying to say is if you’re only going to be there overnight you only have to put up 2 poles without a rainfly and 3 with a rainfly (1 to hold up rainfly over one door). But if you want to fully set up all the bells and whistles, this has the most ingenious windows that roll down and up- one of my biggest pet peeves about tents is the windows not staying pinned back and flopping everywhere. You insert what I can only describe as an 80s slap bracelet to make the magic happen. It also has an interior top light with a remote that attaches closer to the floor so you can turn the light on and off from in bed. It takes 4 D batteries and has 3 light features- bright, dim, and amber. We used the “back” larger D shaped door to move all our gear in and out, and we used the swinging door as our front in and out door. It unexpectedly rained the first night and a crazy wind storm came up the second night and it took it like a champ (even before I’d had a chance to treat it myself). I’m thoroughly pleased and whenever we wear this tent out or break it beyond repair I’d have no reservations about buying this tent again. I bought an Alps Mountaineering Aero Awning and it perfectly fits around the door of the tent. I love having a little shaded place to sit in the afternoon or in the rain. Looks like they were made for each other.
