With this DANCO Universal Handle Adapter you don't have to worry about not knowing the size of the faucet stem when purchasing handles. This adapter will allow you to use universal replacement handles that will fit the existing faucet as well as the original handles. It features a set screw and an Allen wrench for easy installation.

They're ok. Sometimes they slip and need to be re-tightened. I've had to cut shims from aluminum cans to make them work on my 65-year-old American Standard shower taps. Sometimes they need replacement, as the allen screws strip the threads. But they're cheaper and easier than redoing the bathroom.

I bought some hospital universal faucet handles for my mothers bathroom since the hospital handles are easier to use for seniors (less twisting movement). However, the handles would not fit without this adapter which is hard to find in the hardware store. The adapter is held on with three small set screws at the corner.
