Needed a bass that was lighter and have a nice vintage round sound. This bass delivers that in spades. I would argue that it sounds deeper than my Fender Precision MIA. Also love the road worn look.
The neck was bowed and needed a truss rod adjustment. Intonation was also out. The "A" string had a buzz - neck slot not wide enough. Nothing that couldn't be remedied with a setup. But, I was expecting more from Fender. Other than the setup, it looks cool and the shorter scale length is fun to play.

Nice instrument. Sounds good. A little on the small size for my hands and arms. Don’t know why it has to be so roughed up if the product is new. Looks pretty cool just super used looking for a brand new bass.
What a great short scale bass that is really fun to play! The broken-in feel on this Mustang adds a lot of charm and comfort to this Junior-sized bomb of a bass. I’ve been playing professionally for over 35 years and own right at a dozen Fender basses of various models: Precision, Jazz, etc. The sound out of this custom Precision pick-up sounds unlike anything else in my bass stash...in a good way. Round and smooth like a Percision should, but with a great attack... fingers or pick. As you can tell,I like this bass....a lot!! As they say, your mileage may vary. Don’t take my word for it. Go to a dealer and play one for yourself. You may hate it! But that’s what makes music great… Once I got it intonated and set up, I can’t put this bass down! It feels so good in my hands it’s just fun to play and sounds as big as it’s larger brother.
