Good Quality came with all the parts you need. Higher quality than stock. Installed in about 15 min with normal tools. Soaked old blots overnight with penetrating oil. No noticeable change in sound, but fuel mileage went up 2 mpg in town. This could be just because the old ones where bad and giving codes. This was still less expensive than having a shop replace the factory ones. I plan on changing the muffler to Flowmaster, and then that is where you would see the the dramatic difference in the catalytic converters.

These babies made a big difference! Fit is tight and install was a breeze. No leaks, welds were solid and nearly an exact fit. I say nearly beacuse these cats, the body itself and housing is at leaast 1 to 2 times bigger that OEM on K1500 4x4. Which isnt a problem necesarily but makes the fit a little tighter and contacts the the body floor. A shim/steel tie down has helped keep the vibration/rattle away by keeping space from the housing off the body floor. An unfortunate annoyance as it does get loud when it starts to make contact. = 4 stars

If you are replacing the total Exhaust I woud recommend with:
-Walker 54126 Tail Pipe
-Walker 53141 Exhaust Tail Pipe
-Denso 234-4018 Oxygen Sensor (Bank 2) and Denso 234-4012 Oxygen Sensor( Bank 1)
-Walker Muffler Quiet Flow

Failed after 2 months, not recommended!

Professionally installed. 2 months later something came loose inside the cat. Had the original installer and a 2nd muffler shop inspect it. Both concluded that something was inside one of the cats. Called Flowmaster about warranty. You are required to cut out the cats and pay to ship them back to flowmaster. Flowmaster then cuts them open to check if there was a defect and only if they say there is a defect will they send you a new cat. They dont refund the price of the cats you have to buy or the install of the new cats (cost of install is higher than the cost of the cats). They will only send you new cats. This means in my case I have no choice but to buy a 2nd pair of cats, pay to have them installed and have this set removed and shipped back where they *might* send me new cats that will have no value to me since I need the money refunded. That or just not drive my only car for 2-3 weeks or more? Will never buy anything from Flowmaster again.

I bought these for a 98 Suburban. These are a low restriction catalytic converter. YOU WILL HEAR AN EXHAUST RUMBLE FROM THESE. If you are looking for something as quiet as OEM. look at something else. If you want some rumble then these are for you. If I was keeping it I wouldn't be happy with the sound. But, my 24 year old son is getting it and he thinks its great that a 98 Suburban sounds tough.

I installed this in a 1999 GMC Suburban C1500 2WD 5.7l V8 yesterday. The general workmanship of the components looks good. The package also contained one oxygen sensor plug, which is needed to plug up one of the bungs. Since some other customers had complained about this missing I had preemptively also ordered this as separate component. I will return that one to Amazon.
Before I tried installing the components I checked the fit of the exhaust manifold flange and, like many other customers have complained, the flange holes do not fit. It is indeed rather unbelievable that the manufacturer has not managed to fix this over the years. I had to shift each hole to the outside by about 1/8" minimum - I ended up doing it with a 1/2" diameter hand file and some good old elbow grease. Do not buy this and attempt the repair if you don't have a way to properly hold the flanges in a vice and either drill out the hole or open it up to the outside with a dremel or file! The flanges cannot be removed so you also have to contend with the exhaust pipe going through them while you do this. It is a royal P.I.T.A.
The catalytic converters are larger than the originals and they are rotated slightly differently, leaving less space to get them installed. I was not able to get them maneuvered in there until I ended up moving the transmission cross-brace all the way back (remove the brace bolts & transmission support nut, unclip the wire harness, lift the transmission with a floor jack and slide the brace all the way back). With that out of the way I could get it in place, only to find out that the distance between the exhaust manifold flanges is about 1/4...3/8" larger than on the engine...
What is not clearly visible in the images is that this manifold comes in two pieces. The exhaust pipe for the driver side is attached with a slip fit and pipe clamp. After cutting off 3/8" from the end of this pipe I was able to make things fit.

Everything seems to be working fine but it took me way longer to do this than I had anticipated.

Note that you should also order the Doorman 03133 exhaust stud kit, because you will likely ruin the old nuts when trying to remove them and this catalytic converter kit does not contain those nuts.

Don't waste your money on this system. Nothing lines up correctly and leaks. Buy stock or try another brand! For a "direct fit" system it requires a bunch of modification to fit. And the section where the two pipes clamp together wouldn't seal with provided clamp ( broke the clamp trying to get the slit section to close). Have to get a better clamp or have it welded.
