The temperature of the water is the key
There is confusion in the directions that contradict each other( see photos). When i installed the item it was quite simple if you have basic handyman skills. After installing the item i thought it was defective because the "heater on" light wasn't illuminated, but after re-reading the troubleshooting section I noticed that the heater is to MAINTAIN temperature NOT heat cold water. This led me to believe that there is like a thermostat in it that the initial water going into the tub has to be really hot and this unit will not let the temperature of the water drop below a certain temperature, somewhere in my research i believe it is 104⁰. As of now i am happy with the item, and not saying this will solve all of the issues you can encounter because depending on your outlet and breakers in the breaker box may be underrated for its needs.
