Product Description

Living world lock and crock dish for small pets offers many great advantages. Made of extra-thick, chew-resistant plastic, the heavy-duty dish is durable, easy to clean and dishwasher safe. The crock-style dish can easily be attached in an elevated location to any cage wire size and fits vertical or horizontal cage wiring. This is an excellent space-saving alternative to freestanding dishes. Once installed, it will not twist, turn, or tip, eliminating messy food or water spills. The living world lock and crock dish can easily be detached for filling or cleaning, simply by sliding the locking device and lifting up the dish. The dish is also suitable for birds.

DON'T DROP THEM! Otherwise perfect!

DON'T DROP THEM! Otherwise perfect!
I was really impressed with these bowls, other than the ugly green color, until today! I dropped one, from about waist high (I'm only 5' 2", so not very high 😡), and it cracked, nearly all the way to the bottom! There's even a chip, out of the side, near the crack. I could understand if, it was a tile, or cement floor, but it was subfloor and linoleum, in an old (1974) trailer. I only took off one star because, thankfully I'm using them for sugar gliders, and they don't weight enough (150-200 grams at most), to make it split while in use. I also only paid $3.99 for the 20oz bowls (I think), which can fit 8-12 tablespoons of chopped, frozen fruits, and vegetables. I'm not too upset because, one of the three bowls I bought, was only used for the frozen nectar type mix, for the protien and vitamins portion of their staple diet (OHPW diet), which melts by the time they get up to eat. So I really needed to get a smaller one (now two because I have a new sugar glider with food aggression issues) for that anyway. I would definitely recommend them for sugar gliders and other small animals, as long as they aren't chewers. I could see them getting chewed pretty bad. I love that they lock in place, so they can't make any more messes*, than they already do. I'll definitely be more careful, with my remaining two bowls, and keep the spare parts. Just in case, I end up breaking them, too. Which reminds me, I love how they connect to the side of the cage! Big plus! I put mine on the doors of the cage. This way my sugar gliders aren't trying to come out, every morning when I reach in to get their bowls out, to clean them, or when I put them back in full of food, to feed them dinner, at night. Definitely some of the best bowls I've had. Just don't drop them! If these were thicker, like typical crocks I'm used to, you could throw them against a brick wall and they would not break. These are still a good bowl and a great price! I do wish we could choose our colors because the ugly, 1970's, puke, lime green, color does NOT go with ANYTHING, in my sugar glider's cage, my house, or anyone's anything, and hasn't since the 70's! I know, and HATE, this color, all too well! My kitchen sink, bathroom sink, bathtub, and toilet, were all the same color, before we remodeled. Yes, they were the originals, that came with the trailer, in 1974 😂 Hope this helps some of y'all decide!*Cage covers and glider kitchens help with messes for anyone new to sugar gliders 😉 There are some great videos on YouTube, on how to make a glider kitchen for a few bucks. Instead of $20+ to buy one, that's probably not big enough anyways!
