Product Description
OneFlow Plus Salt-Free Scale Reduction and Water Filtration Systems use a commercially trusted, physical water treatment technology to keep scale from forming on pipes and reducing appliance life, along with a high-capacity water filter to remove foul tastes, odors, and sediments for better tasting tap water. A single, compact unit with dual cartridges replaces a space-consuming water softening system and water filtration system — using no salt, chemicals, and electricity. OneFlow Plus is an intelligent scale solution and is a great salt-free alternative to water softening (ion exchange) or scale sequestering devices. OneFlow Plus system is certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA) to NSF/ANSI Standard 372 for lead free. The carbon block used in the OFPRFC carbon filter is certified to NSF/ANSI 42. Watts Water Technologies OneFlow Anti Scale Media is certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA) to NSF/ANSI Standard 61.

What to Know
OneFlow+ does not reduce silica scaling. While silica tends to have a less significant effect on scale formation than other minerals, it can act as a binder that makes water spots and scale residue outside the plumbing system difficult to remove.
- Water known to have heavy loads of dirt and debris may require pre-filtration prior to OneFlow+
OneFlow + Water Filtration System
Salt-Free Scale Prevention PLUS Water Filtration
OneFlow+ prevents hard water scale buildup in pipes and appliances and removes harmful contaminants for better tasting water. OneFlow+ uses a unique technology called Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC), which attracts and converts dissolved water hardness minerals into microscopic crystals. These crystals flow harmlessly through the plumbing system to the drain, keeping your pipes and appliances free of scale.
- OneFlow+ is easily installed on a floor or mounted to a wall
- Virtually maintenance free for up to 3 years
- Saves money on energy costs and plumbing system repairs
- Systems using OneFlow+ technology effectively control lime-scale formation inside plumbing systems at hardness levels up to 30 grains per gallon
- **Testing should be performed to determine proper application where hardness levels exceed 30 grains per gallon

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
I've changed the big/outer filter twice (early 22 & now), and the inner once (now). Both times the water between the housing and the big filter was the color of brewed tea (no smell, but still disturbing). However when I pulled up only the inner filter, the water was clear as could be.
A few weeks ago we started to see some minor hard-water deposits on the shower heads, so I went ahead and changed both filters (and O-rings). For the inner filter, that's the first time since we put the system in. Now that it's changed, I fully expect another 3 years of not having to worry about hard-water deposits.
I can't say it will work for you, but in our book, we've certainly found the system to be worth the money.
Our house is new construction and I finally installed this filter after we’d been here for a month, and already fixture were accumulating scaling and we were running vinegar through the dishwasher. We saw that stop within a coyote days and while standing water that evaporate will leaves spots, those spots are more a dusty residue that easily wipes up. We are running the filter in sequence with an electromagnetic descaler (HQUA), which was installed simultaneously, so it is difficult to say how much effect is compounded by the joint treatment.
The carbon filter does exactly what it’s supposed to. Tap water is now plenty satisfying to drink and the old chlorine odor is hardly present, if at all.
Over all extremely satisfied with the installation process, the only difficulty was my inability to properly apply the silicone tape properly the first time to the brass threading.

Yes, it’s a lot more expensive than using a drinking water filter for drinking water only. But we find the value to be well worth it. There’s clearly a benefit to our fixtures and plumbing. We’re confident that all of the water in the house has been well filtered. And we generally just drink more water when we can go to any tap in the house and fill up a cup rather than going down to the kitchen and pouring from a Britta filter.

Other things to consider would be putting shutoff valves on both sides of the filter and a bypass system (if you have room) to bypass the filter and still have water to your house. The valve on the outlet side keeps your house plumbing system from draining back to the filter.
Some people have noted the filter cost vrs salt costs. Our current salt price is over six dollars per bag. At two bags per month that is $432 for three years. Of course, there will be differences depending on water hardness and water usage.
It might be helpful for some people if Watts could supply 3/4" inlet/outlet fittings instead of one inch. Many older homes have 3/4" piping. The new home we were living in in 2007 had one inch service lines.

Top reviews from other countries
Pros:
1. Easy install (some homes will need a 1" to 3/4" adaptor which i found at HD and had to use)
2. Noticeable improvement to water taste and feel (very noticable and really works remarkably well)
3. Scale reduction as it states it does do (not a water softener)
5. High quality casing
6. easy filter replacement and bleed valve
Cons:
1. We HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET RID OF WHISTLING SOUND WHEN WATER IS RUNNING - i talked to watts and made sure no air in system and even used dremal tool and file to change shape of exit piece, i have changed tone and intensity but still whistles. No idea at this point what i can do but i don't want to throw out a 700$CND item.
Only way i can get rid of it now is to reduce water pressure but at such a low pressure it's useless to actually use water for anything.
2. Plastic quick connects leak , not much , but drips a little
3. the 1" to 3/4" standard plumbing brass reducer was very hard to get a good fit. This unit comes with two sets of exit / entrance quick releases with no explanation of the difference but i think its thread pitch ? but had to put 4 layers of thread tape to seal the brass adaptors to one set of exit/entrance adaptors and it was hard to screw them in at that point and didn't want to break them. We used standard sharkbite fittings for the rest of the installation with PEX pipe to go to/from water line.
4. Scale reduction seems to be less after 6 months -- its a quantitative opinion and not an actual measurement. This city has moderate high hardness at around 8.8 grains/ gallon up to 15 grains in some parts. We had it measured at 12 and 11. Flow also seems to be reduced - so we will check the filters. Taste and smell and feel of the water is still very good.
Overall i'm on the fence, it does reduce scale and vastly improves the feel and taste, but some of the other issues balance this out. If we cant get rid of the whistling I will probably scrape it and will write up a follow up review . Certainly unhappy about that issue
I am in the home building business and if these work as advertised we would recommend more to be installed, but our own home was trial first
EDIT - fixed the noise .. the filters sat to low which caused the discharge tube too be at an angle, raised filters a 1/4" with a pad and that fixed issue -- changed rating to 4star
