I read a bunch of reviews beforehand, many complaining that it's not truly weatherproof. Luckily for my door situation, that wouldn't matter. The plan was to install this next to the sliding screen door, so it's always going to be an exterior attachment. As you can see from the photos, our interior door is one that pulls open.
Installing this was ridiculously easy. Took me less than two minutes. But that's only because I didn't need to worry about adding additional weatherproofing (which this pet door comes with). The only thing I did was add the adhesive foam strip between the panel and screen door as there was a gap large enough for bugs to crawl through. But overall if you are going to use this next to a screen door like I did, it is incredibly easy to do. I didn't even read the instructions lol
My only complaint, and it's minor, is that the actual pet flap was discolored upon arrival. It doesn't affect its use, just isn't very attractive. But it's not worth setting up an exchange for. It also traps a lot of cat fur which I'm having to clean often. But that's just because one of my cats has insanely long fur and it gets everywhere.
I've also attached a photo of my cat using the door. The cats have no idea how to use the flap yet, so I decided to just prop it open with a box just so they'd first get used to going in and out. All three cats use it without a problem, and they are 9, 10, and 12 lbs. I forgot to mention, that the panel I chose was the small size.
I also wish there was a screened option of this panel, rather than just glass. The glass is great if you are using this to shield your home directly from the outside, but a screened option would have been fine for my setup, and possibly cheaper. Otherwise I'm very happy with my purchase and it turned out to be the perfect solution.

The door itself is well built and reasonably easy to install. I just wish they would invent a way to lock the top adjustment in place without having to drill and screw. That requires a level of certainty that I was a little uncomfortable with.
Insulation and draft prevention was better than I expected. It's not perfect, but I don't know of a better way.
Only big problem is the door flap itself. It's a lot stiffer that I'd like and the magnetic seal isn't completely dependable. Right now it isn't sealed at all, but I can fiddle with it and get it sealed so tightly that it is actually hard to open. Maybe that will get better with use, but with my cat, I can't say.

Recommended temperature does say only as low as -18'C, and I think that would be pushing it. That said, it will be easy enough though to take this down for next winter, and we will because it's definitely not energy efficient (it is currently hovering around 0, and you can definitely feel the cold air at the opening and around the frame). If you are looking for something year-round and you live in a climate that is much below freezing, you would be better off with a proper all-season pet door.
The biggest negatives of this product (and the main reason for the loss of stars) is that the rubber strip that is meant to keep the cold out from having the main glass door partially open is garbage. Within a few minutes of placing it along the door frame, the rubber separated from the adhesive. Totally useless... and you DO need something there to keep heat/cold out or in and to keep bugs out. I duct taped it on for now, and will be looking to replace it with some alternative form of weather stripping.
Also, the panel is narrow and butts up to your sliding glass door. This means that it does connect to the screen door... you'll have a gap of a couple inches... so if you live in a buggy area and would like to have your glass door open for airflow and your screen door closed to keep bugs out, you'll need to rig up some way to close off that gap. If you are handy, a narrow board attached to the frame will do the trick, but just be prepared for that little complication unless you are lucky enough to live somewhere without mosquitoes!
What went well: instructions, most parts, quality of the critical materials, looks, functionality.
What did not go well: biggest problem was not having a sliding door frame that was square - which I did not check beforehand. My sliding door proved to be considerably off true. This meant a large gap either where the door abuts the insert (even with weatherstripping), or where the insert abuts the door frame. The one star off rating is because the included (low quality) weather stripping was not long enough to meet even the minimum range of heights this insert accommodates (approx 77"-82") - less than 76" included!
Managed to sort it out adequately using silicon and better weatherstripping, and though I do recommend this product, please check the squareness of your door frame and/or the adjustability of the sliding door in terms of squareness and seal before you order a product like this!
My only complaints would be that the white color costs 40% more than beige version :).
Also, the magnet at the bottom of the door isn't quite strong enough to shut after pet passes through, it stays slightly open. I wish the pet door wasn't all rubber firmly attached at the top, but had a hinge at the top so it could swing shut fully. Every time my pet goes in or out I have to get up and nudge the door shut with my foot. That being said, I can probably fix this issue DIY, so it doesn't factor in too heavily, also there are many replacement options to get another pet door, which I probably will do.
I have an older sliding door which has a functional piece of plastic the wraps over the edge at the top and bottom, so there was a vertical gap between the two doors. I found some thick weather stripping and attached it to the sliding wood frame door and it worked to fill the gap...BUT the locking mechanism would not work as the doors needed to be touching. Found another locking unit at local hardware that will work.
Cats happy to use the door...cold air not coming in......new lock working ...BUT A BIT MORE CARE IN SHIPPING WOULD BE WELCOME PLUS A REPLY FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE
