Install went well. Had to take door off and remove many many screws in order to take off old gasket. Put new pieces in place and then I made cuts to match up the pieces using a razor knife. I used a marine adhesive to join them. Got the adhesive from HD for about $6. Everything went perfectly. Remounted the door and it wouldn't shut all the way unless I pushed on the door, but as soon as I let go the door popped open. The new gasket didn't have the flexibility of the old gasket, and the magnet in the new gasket isn't as strong as the old gasket. There is some adjustment for the door but even at the furthest point the issue remained.
Oh well
Still, for a non-OEM replacement, they're very good.
Also, the magnets stick out of both ends of all four corners, and can be pulled free easily. This makes trimming the two separately, and in a way that the magnet part overlaps the gasket part, easy to accomplish.
Edit. Fridge is reassembled and running, in adverse conditions, (hot room), and is doing great. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Also, I attached a photo of the seal, with the strip pulled back to reveal the rail that's holding it in place.

You definitely gotta make sure where universal is cut and connect that there's no rigidity that can't relax for consistent seal.
I had to go back and cut out 4 x 3" pieces...once replaced (plenty of excess to utilize) , heavily greased, & gentle use of heat gun--victory!
It would be better if this was a 2 piece kit. However, you get 4. Thereby ratcheting up the complexity of the build and adds many more opportunities for the install to fail.
My advice to anyone looking for a new door seal is to use this or really any other "universal" gasket as an absolute last resort.
Try the following first:
1) take a hair dryer or heat gun and warm your existing gasket in place and see if it has just collapsed a bit and won't seal.
2) flip your gasket. Literally, remove it and rotate it 180 degrees. Top becomes bottom and most importantly, the hinge side becomes the handle side. Then, make sure you heat up the gasket so that the thicker side that's now in your hinge side is able to collapse and your door can close. Also, heat up the new handle side so that it can expand back to the correct size. You may have to press and hold the door closed so that the magnets have a chance to reach the door. Take your time. Depending on how old the fridge is, it may take some patience for the gasket to respond. But it should if given the time. After you have the gasket touching and sealing all the way around, keep the door closed overnight. If you feel the need to, tape it shut to keep it nice and tightly closed.
3) if at all possible, get a one piece gasket that fits your door. These cut to fit ones just aren't worth the trouble.
Good luck with your fix. YouTube is your friend.
