This unit was sold and shipped by Amazon - as usual, it was great experience. Arrived exactly when promised, packaging was good (I'm not a package expert, so cant qualify a great rating), and it work first time out of box. The last point is probably not due to anything Amazon did, but I've read reviews where reviewer dumps on Amazon for product not working, so thought it appropriate to give credit.
The 5 star rating is all about product performance and quality - great Amazon service is becoming standard
I installed it along with Time Warner Business Class Cable with a Static IP.
At first I could not get connected to the internet and TWC Tech said their Modem was working fine that the problem was with the Networking in my building. I spent days trying to figure it by making changes to the Cisco RV215WAK9NA to no avail.
(Fortunately I had access to another Gateway for Internet use while trouble-shooting)
I finally called Cisco for help and their Tech spent a lot of time with me trying to figure out the problem.
He suspected TWC Modem was the problem from the start and he was correct.
I finally got ahold of a Tech at TWC that immediately saw that the Modem was not programmed correctly.
The Cisco Tech stayed on the line with me until I was up and running!
Great Support Cisco!
Cisco was once the best, but now it appears to be the worst. I am going to install a Sonicwall SOHO-W in place of this. I also have two RV-340 that I am going to replace with SonicWall devices. The RV-340 have been nothing but headaches. Sonicwall is a bit more spendy but their products actually work.
But that is not what I got it for. I needed a Branch Office VPN site-to-site solution.
The specifications claim it can do this. However, it only has partial support for this. For some strange reason, the developers decided that users don't need to be able to configure the IKE Identifiers manually. It attempts some mysterious magical divination of the Identifier data from IPSec configuration and even the WAN configuration. However, in my situation, it failed miserably.
I have a branch office behind a cable modem and DHCP/NAT. Supposedly, you can use the router's built-in Dynamic DNS to make things work... well that would be great if this thing didn't want to use the private IP assigned to the WAN by the DHCP/NAT of the cable modem. Life would be so much simpler if this UI would just let me put in the data I know I need like the RV120W, RV180W, and RV220W do (I looked at Cisco's manuals for them and found the required options right there in the screen shots).
For some unknown reason, no one at Cisco Small Business Support seems to understand that I just need to be able to set these industry standard options in the UI. Heck, I would even edit the configuration file manually, but they decided to use a checksum to make sure you don't dare modify something that might make this actually work!
I tried reaching out to Support on this issue, but after 3 days of being told that they can make it work internally and that I can just let the router figure things out on its own, I'm writing this review. A simple firmware update is all this thing needs from what I can tell.
I may have to return it and shell out the extra money for the older RV120W that actually lets you set these parameters.
So, as of firmware 1.2.0.15... if you need to be able to setup a site to site VPN between this thing and a proper security device... be aware that you have to use IPs for identifiers (and you can't trust the dynamic dns setting behind DHCP/NAT).

In that case we could not assist , warranty and Product support from Cisco .
