Teamgee is on a mission to create the highest performance and ultrathin electric longboards possible to make daily commuting enjoyable. Our skateboards are perfect for shorter commutes, cruising campus, and quick errands.
Teamgee is one of the first to use a drop-through deck on an electric skateboard and its deck is 15-20mm lower to the ground than most of the electric skateboards, which enables a more stable and confident riding experience. Let’s get the facts and stats clear-
A. $500 board
B. Dual Hub Motors
C. Lithium polymer battery hidden
D. 18-24mph
E. 4 Brake modes 4 speed modes
F. LCD controller that feels and looks great
G. 9-11 mile range
H. 38 inch LongBoard
Nothing about this board feels janky or cheap. Good Value for the expectations that this is not the Ferrari of boards.
More like the 1991 Integra Type R of boards.
And that is NOT an insult, just a good performing, priced right, way to commute-
Now for the review-
1. Is it a Boost Board? NO. It was never created to be a Boost or even compete with a Boost. Think of it as a BMW 3 series and the Boost is the BMW M3 version.
2. Is it fast? Well, I think it’s right there in the curve of feeling quick, but not out of control. I have yet to completely run it to the limits. Or maybe I have? My limits have been met(48 year old with experience on many vehicles including EUC’s) but at times, I feel the limit will be met and I will crave a bit more. That’s when you spend more.
3. Value for money ratio- let me say this, I have owned 3 other “cheap” boards ($300 range) and I hated them- I think for the near or right at cost of $459-500 and the overall look and feel, this is a GREAT BOARD! Could it be better, yes. But for more $$... I feel it meets or exceeds expectations for a first board, a second cruiser to your “sports car style board” or just a great little commuter.
4. Controller and control- I absolutely love the “Wii Style Controller” Very accurate display readings and many options including the ability to choose “SEPARATELY” your braking and throttle settings. Use B1(light brakes) and Choose (speed “H+” highest) and hit the hills! Go fast and coast to a stop. Big seller on my part was the controller. Feels nice. Now. Control? It is a bit twitchy on take off, by twitchy.. I mean... torque. It’s not all that smooth at first, but you get adjusted quickly. Could it be better? Of course. But once again, for more $$. Or later change the speed controller to a VESC and this board has an advantage of stealthiness.. But overall the twitchy is not of any concern on a sub $500 board.
5. Is it quality? I really feel that this board exceeds the expectations in a $500 group with low weight, hidden battery, clean build, replaceable tires that actually ride decent. So .I like the tires. Do I want different ones. Of course! And I was really worried, but the ride isn’t all that bad. The board would benefit from a bit of flex and since the battery resides in the board, I opted for that stealthy look instead of flex.. oh and price..But again... Boost uses Loaded Board Decks. These boards when naked are $400... so like I have said. You want more? It will cost you more. But you get a lot for your money here.
And no complaints on how this board compares to others in this price range. If I killed it next week. I would be happy for the rides I’ve taken (60 plus miles) and probably would by it again.
6. Long Term Reliability? Well.., this is hard. I just got it!! So maybe I’ll have more to say 6 months down the road..Not a single glitch so far. No disconnect and I have ridden most of the time from full charge to no charge. No issues to speak of.
Ok. So my overall impression is this:
The board has exceeded my expectations and my worries faded by the second ride. I love the fact it’s maintenance free as far as esk8’s go and the controller and overall build is quality and ride of the board feels like you spent more than you did.. but in reality you got more instead. A good place to be on any purchase.
I do believe this board is good at not discouraging you from the sport and will certainly inspire you to upgrade. This board can help you determine what about the sport you want in your next board or this satisfies for needs in the moment... like lays potato chips.. you can’t have just one.
But most importantly... THIS BOARD WILL NOT DISCOURAGE YOU. If your a beginner or a seasoned rider who wants a stress free commuter. This board fits the “I’m out for a fun day” rider.
I have watched many reviews and many opinions and facts on many boards. And I have seen great ones on this board and I have seen it’s fair share of not so great reviews.
But to defend the board.. it’s not going to win any contests against $1000 plus boards. And if you want a $1000 board for $500... good luck finding it.
If you want an affordable (if $500 is affordable) board...,
I recommend this board. Your money goes a bit further than some of the others I have ridden and seen.
I feel, I will get a $1000-1500 board some day. And that board will do what I want it to do on that day. And this board does what it’s supposed to do on this day.
But I won’t stop riding this one. I like it’s GET ON AND GO ease.
It’s just a nice, sure footed COMMUTER. Go grab some beer on it. Go for a cruise down the jogging trail. Hit the boardwalk without the noise of belt drives.., (which I like, but others, joggers, mall walkers, won’t like that sound of whining belts..) but realistically, for us riders, it’s a beautiful sound.
So save the belt driven board for the highway...
I hope this review helps your decision process. Expect LESS... GET MORE.

Thats the theme-
I love this board. I ride it usually at least twice a day for about 15 minutes and I go about 3 miles at a pretty good pace. My route is mostly flat with a couple of small but fairly steep hills. The board works great, it climbs the hills pretty fast and even slow if my dog is tired. The brakes work great at slowing me down even when my dog is dead set on chassing a rabbit, especially at night.
The remote works great and very easy to control speed and breaks. The flash light is also a great feature if you ride at night like I do. You can flash it into the direction of oncoming cars to be seen.
I haven't really clocked the speed but I am guessing top speed is about 18 mph which I think is plenty fast. It accelerates pretty quick and smooth, it doesn't throw you off the board but it is also not a slug. And the brakes are really smooth as well.
As far as battery life goes, so far I am very happy with the distance I can go before charging. I can go for about 3 sessions before it needs to be charged and the power band seems very consistent all the way till about the last 5% of the charge. I do let the batteries cool before recharging and I do drain them down completely every once in a while. The batteries charge pretty quick as well.
The wheels really impressed me. I thought for sure I would eat it on a rock or pot hole, but thank God these wheels are super forgiving. I have hit some pretty good size rocks , pot holes and road markers. I have even gone off into some grass and dirt and up little curbs, into driveways without any problems. I was very impressed.
I got my board on a flash sale but I have totally enjoyed it so far. It is a great way to get my stoke on when the waves are flat or the water is polluted from the rain. And yes I ride her even in the rain.
It definitely helps me with my SUP surfing.
Buy this board and try it, I hope you love it as much as me and my pup.

Update
I have had the board over a year and have rode it almost every day at least once sometimes more and at least 3 miles at a time. I ride it often in the rain or wet streets. The board is still working great. The tires are getting pretty worn and it has lost a bit of speed, power and range but what can you expect? The board has been used and used hard. I will probably buy another eventually but for now this one is still working great for me and my dog. She loves it. I am hoping to post some more pics and a video soon.

So far I don’t have any major complaints, but I have only owned the board for a couple days. My remote oddly enough came with some miles already on it. The board is definitely brand new but it did make me double check I was getting a brand new product when seeing the miles clocked on the remote. Another thing is that the board is definitely Chinese. The manuals and website are kind of difficult to understand as things aren’t really written correctly.
I bought it on sale for $388, but I would say it’s worth $455 (the price it’s at when writing this). It’s a really fun way of transportation.
