Product Description
Champion Iridium - the ultimate element. This spark plugs fine-wire iridium center and platinum ground electrodes provide the sharpest spark focus for maximum performance. Compatible with passenger car, light truck and powersport applications, the exclusive heat-active alloy allows electrodes to reach optimal temperature quickly and maintains stable operating temperature under all load conditions. Step-by-Step Instructions for Installing New Spark PlugsStep 1 If necessary, set the gap on the new spark plug before installing it. In the past, it was necessary to use a gapping tool to make sure the gap in the spark plugs was the correct size. Today, Champion spark plugs come pre gapped, eliminating the need for this step most times. You should double check that the gap is correctly set; check your owners manual to find the distance for the spark plug gap and use a gap gauge or feeler gauge to check the distance. Step 2 Seat the new spark plug by hand; turning it clockwise at least two full turns. Once you have the spark plug snug, use the socket wrench with extension and spark plug socket to tighten it turning the plug clockwise. The plugs washer should be pressed against the mounting surface. Take care not to over tighten the plug; you can strip the thread on the head of the engine leading to costly repairs. You can also use a torque wrench to torque it to specification (OE service or repair manual). Step 3 Replace the spark plug wire boot or ignition coil and wiring connector. A plastic boot should click into place while a rubber boot may require a coat of dielectric grease on the inside of the boot for easy removal next time. Step 4 Repeat the removal and installation process for each spark plug. Thats all there is to it! If at any point you run into issues or have a question, consult your mechanic. We encourage you to consult with a certified technician if you have specific questions or concerns relating to any of the topics covered herein.Shape: Taper Cut

The spark plugs did not come with a cardboard ring around the electrode, and were gapped to around 0.039 inches, which is what I saw on other websites. My vehicle calls for a 0.043 inch gap, so I had to use a gapping tool to widen it just slightly.
They were cheaper on Amazon ($7.46 each) than any other website I found them on. I bought six and strangely enough, Amazon shipped each of them in a separate package despite coming from the same fulfillment center. It looked like Amazon threw up on my porch on delivery day.
These are the regular copper core plugs that Mopar really likes. No, they are not made out of unobtanium or clear metal, so you actually do have to change them fairly often (30,000 miles for my truck). But, because they don't have 24k gold conductor with a pink diamond tip, they are cheap. And, because the enginerds designed the engine to use these, the pistons will be angrier than normal because the explosion is bigger. Along the same route, your wallet will be happy and the gas station owner won't because you will get better gas mileage with proper plugs.
Don't forget to let your aluminum heads cool down before you go reefing on your old plugs. Also, check the gap on each spark plug because if the shipping guy pretends the box is a soccer ball, well, the gap will change. Might as well buy some anti-seize to brush on the threads and some Vaseline or "dielectric gel" for the spark plug wire/coil boots.
Buying these won't make you taller, smarter or thinner. They don't work good as antidepressants or combs either. But, they make your car feel like a million bucks. Okay, actually about $20 but you get the picture.
Word of caution: These are listed as pre-gapped to 0.044, even though the description also suggests checking proper gap. I ordered 6 of these and only one of them didn't require significant adjustment. I got gaps from 0.035 to 0.05. So DO NOT take the manufacturer's word on it, check each plug individually, and be prepared to adjust it by hand. This is the only reason I removed one star. A DIYer who isn't familiar with this, or assumes they are properly gapped as advertised could experience problems such as premature ignition, early burn out, or inefficient fuel consumption.
