I purchased this cover for my 2004 Nissan Altima 2.5S. I had previously purchased a Dorman 864-982 cover to replace the OEM cover that had developed a leak around the gasket. I opted to replaced the entire cover since the rubber gaskets around the spark plug tubes can harden and leak. They're also not replaceable, so it made sense to replace the unit since it had 100K miles on it. It turns out that purchasing the Dorman cover was one of the worst mistake I've made with aftermarket parts. Dorman products are generally of decent quality, so evaluate other product offerings on their own merit.I submitted a product review and summary of the issues with the Dorman cover in Amazon. I highly recommend purchasing the OEM model to avoid issues with burning oil and possibly other damage. In short, Dorman's quality control is lacking. The plate under the cover that separate air and oil chambers isn't sealed. This allows oil to enter passages where it shouldn't be. One of the worst it can get into is the PCV valve. The PCV valve is designed to remove vapors from the engine and into the intake manifold where they can become part of the exhaust scrubbing process. You can see the oil puddle in the manifold in the last picture. Follow the oil trail up and to the left, and you'll see where it entered the manifold at the PCV port.If you install the Dorman and are losing oil without a good cause, i.e. leaks around the engine, oil pan, etc., this may be the reason. I'd change it as quickly as possible as burning oil isn't any good for gas mileage, performance or the catalytic converter. I suspect the oil vapors damaged by main catalytic converter, as it's plugged up now. They're simply not designed to remove oil residue. The residue eventually coats the inner workings and renders it useless.Back to the OEM cover. As others have noted, it doesn't come with a gasket. There are many quality options out there, and I went with Fel-Pro. The cover does come with a PCV. Only put a small amount of oil resistant RTV (like Permatex Black) on the left side of the cover where it transitions to the timing chain cover. I suppose the sharp transitions and curves in those areas require extra sealing help. There are online videos of how much you should put on, and if you're removing your original OEM cover, you can get an idea of how far Nissan sealed the unit. You can see evidence of the sealant on both sides of the gasket.I'll leave you with this old, but true adage ... 'The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.'My review of the Dorman product can be found here:https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-264-982-Engine-Valve-Gasket/dp/B00GHT8NA2

Seals are made into the valve cover. 270,000 miles on the Original and they went bad and filled the spark plugs and coil overs full of oil.
This valve cover fit perfect on the 2006 Altima 2.5 and was easy to install.

I bought this valve cover to replace the leaking one in my T30 X-trail. The original valve cover leaked from the edges and at the spark plug tubes. This valve cover doesn't have the same uniform matte appearance as what it replaced but it does the job for the moment. It comes with the PCV valve already installed, which I found a bit odd. Part of me wonders if it is refurbished.

If the original lasted 150000 km, I'm hoping this OEM replacement will give me a similar service life.

Had previously purchased an aftermarket third party design before realizing that the design is flawed in allowing oil to be sucked up unto the PCV valve and back into the combustion chamber. Nissan has been the only one it seems that has fixed this design so in this case money does buy convenience... of not having to buy oil on a daily basis and risk oil starvation of the cams and upper engine lubrication seizure, timing chain and valve breakage. This OEM valve cover is absolutely necessary as a replacement. An oil catch can might work with a third party cover installed between the PCV valve but that just complicates things. Quality product, prompt delivery, highly recommend otherwise.

This part arrived on time and it is OEM fit for my car. I has been on the car for a few months now and there is no leaks or any other problem so far. Great product.

Got this for almost the same price as the aftermarket one I bought that caused the engine to use (NOT LEAK) oil as soon as I installed it. I researched it and found that to be the case in a lot of aftermarket covers for the 2.5L engine, something to do with the baffle inside. They both look alike but it stopped using oil as soon as I put the OEM Cover on
Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2017
Bought this to replace the Dorm-n brand unit after an engine pull to replace the dreaded head gasket. Spark plug tube gromnets were leaking, and thank you Nissan for making them integrated into the valve cover. $4 worth of rubber, but over $100 to source. That's besides the point. Problem with the previously mentioned, locally available product is the PCV outlet holes in the valve cover were of a far larger design than OEM. That bled oil into the intake to then be burned by the engine. By the time the car came back for smoking issues, and I figured this design flaw out, the owner destroyed the engine due to lack of oil. ALWAYS GO OEM!!!

Seems to be the same part as OEM under neath with the PCV valve and baffling. Otherwise the finish is smoother and slight difference the "Nissan" written on it but wouldn't notice unless they were side by side. So a good buy compared to the dealer price of around 3X the amount. Also I used this on a 2005 Nissan X-trail, it fits them also. luckily lol.
