MEDLINE

Back in 1910, A.L. Mills founded Northwest Garment Factory and began making aprons for workers in the Chicago stockyards. Soon his aprons found their way to a group of nuns who were doing double duty as seamstresses at a nearby hospital. The nuns asked A.L if he could make hospital garments – surgeons’ gowns and nursing uniforms – so they could stop sewing and spend more time caring for patients. He said yes and the business was transformed.

Almost two decades later, A.L.’s son, Irving, took over. When World War II broke out, he added general medical supplies to his garment offerings, and the business transformed again, becoming Mills Hospital Supply Company.

Today, Medline Industries, LP. is a fourth generation, family-owned company and the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies in the US. And, we’re still happily headquartered in the Chicagoland area.

Our story continues with you.

You’ve probably seen – and used – dozens of Medline products when you were in the hospital, emergency room, urgent care clinic or doctor’s office. Our products – including gowns and scrubs – are found in thousands of care setting all around the globe. But now we’re excited and humbled to be entering one of the most exclusive care settings of all – your home.

We make healthcare run better.

And now we’re proud to make it run better for you.

Great value
I'm giving 4 stars because these are well worth the money, but there is room for improvements. I'm 6'3" 185lbs and these have no problem adjusting for me. The bottom adjustment is actually half way so plenty of room around my height.PROS:-Strong, I could use them for stilts if I had the balance-Easily adjustable-Can be easily turned into a pretend gun (guys will understand)CONS:-There is some slop (left and right) in the upper arm cuff even when it is locked down. This was a little unnerving when I first started using them, but then I got used to it. My modification below helped so I don't notice this as much.-The cuffs aren't adjustable, and because I got the tall crutches they assume gorilla arms which I don't have. I resolved this problem by taking tube socks and folding them in on themselves 3 times, then sliding them over the cuff [see pic]. I needed a little extra padding on top of that, so I cut a rag in 4 equal pieces and slid them in the socks. The advantage is that when you're done with them they go back to being socks and you aren't out any money (cuff pads are expensive for some reason), plus I left the Nike "Swoosh" on the outside so I figure that increases the product value by $20 based on Nike marketing/pricing. :)
