Product Description

This 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle titled The Colours of Spring by famed painter Terry Redlin depicts the warm morning sun shining through the spring trees. Robins, blue jays and other birds enjoy a bath as little ducklings enjoy the freshly bloomed flowers. In the background, a welcoming log cabin sits next to the tree line where a tire swing hangs from one of the trees. U.S. ART magazine dubbed Terry Redlin “America’s Most Popular Artist” every year from 1991 to 1998 and inducted him into their Hall of Fame in 1992 for his use of earthy colors, blazing sunrises and sunsets, and nostalgic themes. Today, over 2 million of Terry’s tranquil, heartwarming art prints grace the homes of his collectors—making him “America’s Favorite Artist.” Every Buffalo Games jigsaw puzzle is manufactured using premium quality 100% recycled paperboard. A precision cutting technique guarantees that every piece will fit soundly with the company's signature Perfect Snap™. A bonus puzzle poster is also included so that you have a handy reference of what the completed puzzle should look like while you put yours together.

    Missing 54 pieces. Quality control?

    Missing 54 pieces. Quality control?
Yes, you read that right. I paid for 1000 pieces and received 946. As you can see, this was a sealed box, not some return mix up. This has to be the worst quality control ever. We are a puzzle family. We have the puzzle board with the rails and drawers, and a puzzle friendly desk lamp, that sits on our dining room table. We plop down randomly and do 1 puzzle about every two weeks. I used to like Buffalo puzzles. They were in my top 2 with White Mountain. Quality thick pieces, nice poster, good selection. When I saw they were somewhat discounted on Amazon, I ordered 4 for the winter season. The 1st one was missing 3 pieces and I thought, well maybe, they were missing 1 or 2, and somehow we lost 1 or 2, but not 3. So I sent that back. Now this. Really? 54 pieces! Do you know how frustratingly impossible it is to complete a puzzle missing all those pieces? It's a shame, because it was a nice difficult puzzle to complete on it's own. Subtle color and texture changes throughout. I knew within the 1st hour that something was wrong; easy to locate pieces were nowhere to be found. It just got worse everyday. My wife thought I was nuts finishing it, but I was determined to see how bad this train wreck was. Obviously we will not be ordering anymore Buffalo, that's for sure, but I still have 2 more to go. This should be an adventure.
