So far no issues. I think people have theirs die prematurely because of the antiseize applied to these from the factory. Antiseize kills wideband sensors, I would recommend cleaning off most of that with brake clean on a rag. If you must run antiseize use a small amount at the top of the threads. Keep away from the bit that goes into the exhaust stream.
I will update you this review when this sensor dies.
Update Sept 2023: No issues, daily driven car and it's been doing great.
For the first issue, the tab really isn't difficult to break off. I took a pick and snapped it away and the sensor fit just fine. I bet they put that there so AEM can't make any claims against them, because it snapped away smoothly.
Second, the person who stated they can't see 4 digits likely never set their gauge to 4 digits to begin with. There's a button on the AEM X-Series Gauge to change from 3 digits to 4 digits, and I had no issues with this sensor reading 4 digits, and my Link ECU read 4 digits just fine from it as well.
As an LSU 4.9 replacement sensor, the fitment is perfect, the sensor wiring is about 5 feet long (compared to the AEM sensor that was about 2 feet) and it works perfectly for my AEM X-Series Gauge and my Link ECU reads it without issue. I would 100% recommend giving this sensor a shot, as it also has a lifetime warranty!
Very affordable, wound up easy to install but the connector wasn't Quite right for the connector coming from the engine. I had to clip off one of the nipples on the connector, it then fit perfectly, check engine light went out briefly but came back on and has not gone out in over a week. I'm not sure if it's the connector modification but again I was under the impression this would work for my downstream O2 sensor. Again, good value in my opinion, looks really well made , just didn't want to fit my connection without the modification.
DO NOT CHEAP OUT on upstream O2 sensors, just not worth the hassle, but I'm now really good at putting them in and can do the upstream in my car in 20 minutes. Downstream was too locked in and didn't want to break the catalytic converter trying to get out a unit that only senses temp and does not control mixture like the upstream.
